Very unlikely. Mattress ReNew has been specifically designed to hold air virtually indefinitely. We manufacture Mattress ReNew with high quality, marine grade .32mm PVC vinyl and it has been rigorously tested under extreme conditions. The narrow inflation channels are also designed to self-seal, and our valves require a squeeze of the thumb and forefinger to release air.
Mattress ReNew is an exclusive 12 chamber air support system that is placed UNDER the mattress. Any of the 12 air cells can be inflated to give your current mattress extra lift & support in specific areas that have sagged over time. A little air goes a LONG WAY and it's much easier to add air if needed than to remove air if you overinflate. Mattress ReNew is the ONLY TRULY CUSTOMIZABLE SOLUTION to fix sagging and unsupportive mattresses. See instructions PDF on this page for more information.
Mattress ReNew works for ALL innerspring, memory foam and combination mattresses. Simply add air to the areas that your mattress is needing extra support and your mattress is like new again. It completely removes sags and dips and will have your mattress feeling new and supportive again. The only beds that Mattress ReNew will not work with are Sleep Number beds.
Mattress ReNew works for all mattress sizes. Only one unit is required for Twin, Full, Queen or if your King size mattress is sagging in the middle. Should your King size mattress have 2 separate sags far apart from one another, you will need 2 products to remedy the separate sags or body impressions and only use 6 chambers for each sag/body impression, like you would to remedy a Twin size.
We highly recommend you have a friend or partner assist you when setting up Mattress ReNew, as it may take a few adjustments to get the proper air pressure needed for your particular mattress. Mattresses are heavy and while some people can set this up with ease by themselves, others would benefit from having help when lifting a heavier mattress.
Yes, however a little more air may be required than if you had a solid foundation with a smooth surface. Placing flat cardboard on top of the wooden slats would be recommended, but not totally necessary.
